The NSW Government has announced they are bringing the $170 million funding forward so the demolition work can begin on the stage three redevelopment of the new Wagga Wagga rural referral hospital.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian said: "The announcement means that we will see a continuous build on the site following the demolition of the hospital tower block and creation of a new forecourt and front entrance for the new hospital."

"The continuous build will allow continuity of the capital works team who have developed important knowledge about the project," said Member for Wagga Wagga Daryl Maguire.

"Our commitment to build this hospital is absolute, and I welcome the Premier's confirmation that we won't stop until it is finished," said Maguire.
