The Georgiou Group has manufactured one of Australia’s largest largest Tee-Roff beams for the NEWest Alliance’s Ranford Road Bridge project in WA, as part of the METRONET Thornlie-Cockburn Link.
The 50-metre precast beams consist of 14,000 kilograms of reinforced steel, 120 stressing tendons, and 73 cubic metres of concrete. Each beam weighs 197 tonnes and took 10 workers and two concrete pump trucks three days to manufacture.
Seven of the 10 beams were installed recently, with the remainder to be installed as the project progresses.
“We are incredibly proud to be involved in the fabrication of these beams, and to have the opportunity to showcase our expertise in this area,” Georgiou Group Plant and Precast General Manager Nigel Lauriston said.
