Mirvac and Landcom have received approval to develop 316 apartments across four buildings at the Green Square Town Centre in Sydney.

Smart Design Studio and CO-AP were selected as the architects to design the buildings, which will include seven luxury terrace homes, ground floor retail and activated pedestrian connections.

Designs have been inspired by the theme of “parkside living”, with architects incorporating natural elements into the buildings, with landscaped open spaces, gardens, green walls and a laneway connecting the community between Zetland Avenue and Portman street.

The Green Square Town Centre has been awarded a 6 Star Green Star Communities rating by the Green Building Council of Australia.

The four buildings have been planned to maximise space and outlooks across the site. Building A is the gateway location to the town centre and has a curved geometric form. It will be 23 storeys tall with a ground floor retail and 152 apartments.

“We are thrilled to secure development approval for the next stage of the Green Square Town Centre,” Mirvac’s CEO and Managing Director Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz said.

“This stage will raise the bar in apartment living taking luxury to new heights with exceptionally designed homes, retail and communal spaces. Together with the public amenity being delivered by the City of Sydney, Green Square Town Centre is becoming an exciting and vibrant destination.

“As the newest town centre for the City of Sydney in one hundred years, our attention to detail and focus on quality will ensure a vibrant community that stands the test of time for generations to come.”
