Construction tops out on $325M Harrington Collection

Works on the $325 million Harrington Collection have reached a new milestone as builder Icon tops out the Sydney project.

Designed by FJMY, the Harrington Collection will include 58 residences. Developer Golden Age Group and joint venture partner Hannas aim to pay homage to the dramatic texture of the project’s heritage locale.

The project is the only residential project in the area to gain government approval in the past eight years.

Golden Age Group owner Jeff Xu said The Harrington Collection is a world-class development and will be considered one of Sydney’s most iconic and desirable addresses for decades to come.

“Housed within such an iconic location in the heart of Sydney, the architectural design and quality of the finish is second to none and represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for those who are looking for their very own slice of The Rocks – it is a momentous achievement for the project to have reached its full height,” Xu said.

Icon NSW Director Edward Whiting said the quality of the Harrington Collection project reflected the strong relationships established from day one between Icon, Golden Age and Hannas and with other stakeholders.

“Given the unique circumstances of a COVID environment, everyone associated with this development should be immensely proud of the work undertaken to get where we are today,” Whiting said.

“Adapting quickly to new workplace practices with a minimum of fuss has kept development on schedule and ensured the quality of this project is befitting of its stunning location.

“If the best way to judge the success of a project is a genuine working relationship between the site team and the client group, then we can all look forward to a development of the highest quality when it is unveiled in 2021. We are now focused on progressing the work through to practical completion mid-next year,” he said.
