Construction milestone hit on $70M Pimpama Sports Hub

Construction on the Pimpama Sports Hub has reached a milestone with the erection of the first spliced truss, which spans 37 metres.

Construction on the Pimpama Sports Hub has reached a milestone with the erection of the first spliced truss, which spans 37 metres.

Since beginning construction last year, ADCO has erected the roof cover over the netball centre and made progress on the courts, carparking, intersection and roadworks.

Works on the aquatic centre have also progressed, with the main pool substructure complete, allowing for the erection of the roof structure.

The 50-metre pool is taking shape, including the aquatic hydraulic reticulation.

The Pimpama Sports Hub will be completely energy self-sufficient and is the largest community infrastructure project the City of Gold Coast has undertaken.

The project architect is Liquid Blu.

Due for completion in 2021, the sports precinct will offer an aquatic centre with multiple pools, netball and tennis courts, a multipurpose hall, café, health centre, community centre, function rooms and carparking.
