Construction is underway on TAFE Gippsland’s $35.5 million redevelopment in the regional centre of Morwell, east of Melbourne.
Construction company ADCO has begun Stage 2 works on the Morwell Trade Skills Centre.
The project aims to provide new vocational training opportunities to students of the Latrobe Valley and broader Gippsland region.
When complete, the building will provide training in electrotechnology, new energy systems, instrumentation and plumbing trade training with specialist workshops, lab facilities and more general-purpose classrooms.
Architects GHDWoodhead are working with ADCO on the design, with local Gippsland contractors encouraged to get involved through a tender process.
Construction on the Morwell Trade Skills Centre is due for completion in late 2021 and ready to accept students in January 2022.
