Cat dealer Energy Power Systems Australia (EPSA) offers a front-end engineering and design option that provides cost savings and early identification of opportunities.

EPSA has the in-house capabilities to perform a range of engineering tasks from front-end engineering design (FEED) through to detailed design, ensuring that reliable power products integrate seamlessly with the balance of plant.

“Using information prepared during the client feasibility study and conceptual design, we act on behalf of the customer to conduct further investigations based on technical requirements,” said Marcel Heijkoop, General Manager of sales and business development for EPSA.

This information provides a basis for detailed engineering, procurement, construction and management by EPSA’s in-house engineering consultants.

EPSA also has the expertise to provide high-quality specification documents to utilise in request-for-tender scenarios. EPSA enhances existing consultant relationships by providing expertise in power generation in addition to full consultancy services as a design partner.

Working with a longer-term project view, EPSA provides a solution that enhances efficiencies and identifies opportunities to minimise costs. The Cat dealer understands the importance of client engagement in delivering site-based project specifications.

“This approach utilises the latest technology and avoids over-engineered solutions,” Heijkoop said.

Standardised Generator Set Modules

EPSA has combined over 25 years of expertise and experience to engineer a standardised generator set package that delivers optimum power.

Pre-fabricated, pre-packaged and pre-tested, our standardised generator set packages are installed more efficiently, reducing overall lead time, minimising costs and reducing onsite works. These standardised power modules can be integrated into a hybrid solution.

“They have a high power density, and our generator set packages are serviceable and safe – the quality of a workshop build with minimal onsite installation,” Heijkoop said.

Energy modules are modular and scaleable to suit changing power needs. They come with all components integrated into a 40- to 45-foot container, with output power ranging from 1300 to over 2500 ekW.

Each module has a Cat generator set, which is highly fuel efficient with lower fuel consumption. These standardised modular generator sets include options for remote monitoring.

Integrating with balance of plant, each comes with a range of engineering services, including front end engineering and design.

“All Cat generator sets come with a full warranty from Caterpillar, the option of Cat Finance and access to our Cat service and maintenance network,” Heijkoop said.
