The Victorian Government has announced the appointment of the new Chief Executive Officer of Development Victoria.
Angela Skandarajah has been selected to lead the organisation, which is an important partner in the state government’s infrastructure program, which aims to deliver projects and enliven key urban and regional precincts.
She was most recently acting CEO and General Counsel of Development Victoria and has more than two decades of experience in the legal profession and property development industry.
Skandarajah has been a partner and national head of Minter Ellison’s real estate, environment and planning practices and has specialised in major infrastructure development and Crown land development. She is a regular contributor to industry bodies on development and real estate issues.
Development Victoria is currently working on 45 projects which include the redevelopment of Melbourne Park, the Melbourne Arts Precinct and State Library Victoria, the development of the new GovHub in Ballarat, precinct renewal at Docklands, Fishermens Bend and Central Dandenong.

The organisation is also working on a range of projects to improve housing diversity and affordability.
Skandarajah thanked the Development Victoria Board for appoint her to the role.
“Development Victoria has a great culture and the capability of our people means we are well positioned to build further on our success, which is a challenge I accept enthusiastically,” she said.
Victorian Minister for Priority Precincts Gavin Jennings congratulated Skandarajah on her appointment to the role.
“Ms Skandarajah’s record as Development Victoria’s acting Chief Executive demonstrates she has the experience and skills to deliver projects of state significance on behalf of the Government,” Jennings said.
