The successful tendered will excavate the marina basin, selected breakwaters and revetments for the project, which aims to transform Port Hedland’s waterfront into vibrant and attractive destination for locals and visitors.

Works are expected to create more than 200 jobs during construction.

A total of 98 businesses, including 87 which have an office based in the Pilbara, have expressed their interest.

Pilbara Ports Authority will lead the delivery of the construction of the Spoilbank Marina, alongside its project partners, Department of Transport, DevelopmentWA, Pilbara Development Commission and the Town of Port Hedland.
