Construction has begun on the new Maitland Hospital in New South Wales following town planning approval and the main works construction contract being awarded.
Multiplex Constructions won the contract, which will involve building the new hospital’s concrete façade, entry arbour, and roof including the roof top helipad. In addition, the company will construct a new loading dock, engineering services plant rooms, internal sealed roads, and on grade car parking and pathways.
Internal fit our works, finishes and equipment installation (including signage and wayfinding), landscaping external areas and courtyards and upgrading the existing Chelmsford Road / Metford Road roundabout are also part of the project.
The new Maitland Hospital aims to deliver a range of services with increased capacity, in the form of more beds and treatment spaces to better meet the changing healthcare needs of the community.
