Expressions of interest (EOI) are now open for construction of the Kal City Centre Project, a $16 million investment to overhaul Kalgoorlie’s city centre.

The project aims to transform three precincts within the Kalgoorlie city centre and incorporate activity and event spaces, alfresco dining, a junior play space, and a new urban plaza.

The EOI process for construction components aims to maximise local and Aboriginal business participation through facilitated procurement workshops with interested lead construction contractors.

Interested contractors will be invited to attend a site inspection in mid-September which will include a networking evening with local businesses interested in sub-contracting for the project.

Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan said the project has been a long time in the making.
