Builder chosen for VIC State Basketball Centre

Development Victoria has selected ADCO to begin building the $132 million State Basketball Centre.

Cox Architecture will work alongside ADCO on the project.

ADCO will deliver 12 new indoor courts to add to the existing six courts, new gymnastics facilities, refurbished clubhouse, referees’ spaces and administration for Knox Basketball Incorporated, an extended sports administration hub providing a permanent home for Basketball Victoria, Basketball Australia and other tenants, facilities to support two tenant professional team, and a basketball centre of excellence.

Works have already begun, with the project expected to be complete by 2023.

More than 500 jobs will be supported throughout the construction process, with more than 100 ongoing roles to be created once completed.
