Builder chosen for Queanbeyan Civic and Cultural Precinct

The Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council has selected a Builder of Choice for the design and construction of Queanbeyan Civic and Cultural Precinct in southern New South Wales.

The Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council has selected a Builder of Choice for the design and construction of Queanbeyan Civic and Cultural Precinct in southern New South Wales.

ADCO was selected for the position and will work alongside Cox Architects and Project Managers APP to deliver the new project.

The development is part of the council’s CBD Transformation Strategy, with the main intention to bring together council staff, which are currently housed in 11 buildings across the CBD.

This also includes the modernisation of surrounding public and commercial space and improvement of connections to the existing Bicentennial Hall and Q Theatre.

The current concept design includes Government offices in two towers, council administration, including shopfront and public library space, meeting rooms and break-out spaces, community and commercial space, a gallery connecting office building to Bicentennial Hall and Q Theatre, 100 basement car parking spaces for council offices and public and a rooftop garden.
