Salesforce Tower, Sydney’s tallest office building within Lendlease’s Sydney Place development in Circular Quay, has achieved a 6 Star Green Star – Design & As-Built v1.1 certified rating from the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
Recognised for excellence in sustainable design and construction, the 6 Star certification reflects strong sustainability outcomes across nine holistic impact categories.
Vanessa Orth, managing director of investment management at Lendlease, said the rating underscores the company’s commitment to creating and managing sustainable workplaces that align with tenant expectations.
“Achieving this 6 Star Green Star certification from the Green Building Council of Australia recognises Salesforce Tower’s leading environmental design, innovative wellness-focused features that enhance occupant experience, and the exceptional value delivered to tenants and capital partners,” said Orth.
As a fully leased commercial building, Salesforce Tower meets growing demand for sustainable, healthy and resilient workplaces that align with corporate sustainability goals. Key initiatives contributing to its 6 Star rating include water-efficient and climate-resilient design, responsibly sourced materials and carbon-neutral construction. Workplace sensors monitoring air quality, temperature, acoustics and lighting, alongside electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and a tenant-exclusive EV car share program, further support its sustainability credentials. The building’s Eco-Concierge service also helps tenants maximise sustainability benefits.

Tenants are increasingly seeking workplaces that are smart, energy efficient and healthy for people, and with Salesforce Tower ticking all these boxes, it’s no surprise that it’s fully leased. We congratulate all involved and look forward to seeing how the people of Sydney interact with this space for years to come.”

Across its investment management, development and construction operations, Lendlease is targeting Net Zero Carbon by 2025 for Scope 1 and 2 emissions and Absolute Zero Carbon by 2040 for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions without offsets.
