SafetyCulture launches first-of-its-kind B2B marketplace

Andrew Boyd Launches SafetyCulture’s B2B Marketplace

Global workplace operations company, SafetyCulture, has today announced the launch of SafetyCulture Marketplace in Australia to help remove the complexity from procurement and supply chain processes. The first-of-its-kind, Amazon-style marketplace is a ‘one stop shop’ for a wide range of industries and their specific operational needs.

The new offering was launched by SafetyCulture Ambassador, Scott Cam.

With the likes of Bisley, 3M, and PIP Global already on board, SafetyCulture Marketplace features a diverse product range – including rigging equipment, defibrillators, harnesses, workwear and more. High-volume products such as rapid antigen tests, cleaning products and protective equipment like masks, gloves and hand sanitiser are also available.

It is the next building block in the tech unicorn’s Workplace Operations Platform as it continues to find innovative ways to automate manual processes and improve workplace quality, efficiency and safety. SafetyCulture is striving towards a future where any worker can request work gear from their management team with one click ordering, in its flagship product iAuditor. The marketplace also has ambitions to offer bigger ticket items like machinery hire and to supply services like site inspections.

Leading the launch is Andrew Boyd, SafetyCulture’s Managing Director, Global Marketplace, who most recently worked at Amazon Web Services and has supported the likes of Airtasker, Afterpay, Finder and Kogan to maximise the reach of their marketplaces.

Commenting on the launch, Boyd said: “The procurement of workplace products is a logistical headache for many organisations, especially in recent times. Multiple suppliers, no quality assurance and complex sales cycles make it difficult to get things right. SafetyCulture Marketplace brings together a broad range of suppliers to meet the diverse needs of our customers and streamline the experience. As we build out the offering, we’ll focus on enabling workers on the ground to have a say in what they need to do their job well.”

“SafetyCulture’s technology is trusted by more than 60,000 companies, so with this launch we will be making life easier and safer for thousands of frontline workers.”

SafetyCulture Marketplace will accelerate its global rollout in the U.S. and UK in early 2023.

This announcement follows a sweep of recent milestones from the Australian Unicorn in 2022, including the launch of its Heads Up communication tool, acquisition of lone worker safety app SHEQSY and investment in IoT firm Inauro.
