More than 6258 Home Improvement Scheme (HIS) Vouchers have reached the Northern Territory construction sector, equating to more than $50 million of approved works.
The vouchers are spread over a range of works and trades, supporting local jobs and businesses.
The top three most popular improvements approved under HIS are air conditioning upgrades, painting and electrical upgrades.
Vouchers have been issued in every Northern Territory region, leading to works for local businesses around the territory.
The HIS, which is one of the Northern Territory Government’s most popular scheme to date, provides homeowner and landlords with co-contribution grants to use in the upgrading of their residence.
