Construction begins on $67 million retail centre in Seacliff

A $67 million retail centre is taking shape in Seacliff, with CIP Constructions delivering the development along Adelaide’s southern coastal corridor.

The Village was formally launched at a recent ceremonial sod-turning event attended by project stakeholders, local council representatives and Member for Black, Alex Dighton.

“We are thrilled to be working with Seacliff Developments and to be playing our part in the revitalisation of such an iconic part of Adelaide,” said David Crowther, state manager at CIP Constructions. “It’s been great to welcome everyone to the site today and to show them exactly what we are doing – especially considering the big changes that are coming.”

Ahead of the sod turning, Seacliff Developments director Frank Gasparin said he was pleased to see the retail centre taking shape through the partnership with CIP Constructions.

“We’ve been very impressed with CIP’s track record and commitment to quality,” said Gasparin. “And I know we’re in the right hands with the CIP team to deliver the appropriately impressive commercial centrepiece of this exciting development.”

The retail centre forms part of the broader $900 million master-planned Seacliff Village Estate, which will incorporate residential, retail and medical spaces within a community-focused environment.

Construction is underway with bulk earthworks and ground remediation currently in progress, followed by footings and in-ground services in the coming weeks. Works will then move to precast panels and structural steel, anticipated to arrive on site in April and May.

Anchored by Coles and featuring traders including Liquorland, Metrofresh, Anytime Fitness and Terry White Chemists, the 8,400-square-metre retail centre will provide a convenient shopping option for residents of Seacliff Village and neighbouring suburbs.

The retail centre is expected to open to the public in April 2027.
