The tender is open to help remove up to six proposed METRONET level crossings on the Armadale Line in Perth, Western Australia.
Preliminary planning to remove the Oats Street and Wharf Street level crossings identified the potential for even more to be removed along the Armadale line between Beckenham to Victoria Park.
As a result, the planning study area scope was expanded to include Mint Street, Oat Street and Welshpool Road as one package and Hamilton Street, Wharf Street and William Street as a second package.
The successful applicant will work with the team to investigate options to remove these crossings and to reduce congestion, maximise pedestrian and driver safety, improve connectivity and support future precinct development.

Expressions of interest will be opened later this year for a team of engineering and land use planning consultants to undertake works to inform the business case.
The level crossing removal program will remove up to eight of the 31 level crossings on Perth’s network.
Forward works on the Denny Avenue Level Crossing Removal started earlier this year with the demolition of five houses in preparation for the project. The project is currently in procurement with a contractor to be appointed late-2019.
