Melbourne is set to host an annual conference which will bring researchers and industry together to discuss ways of combating corrosion.
The Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA) will run the Corrosion and Prevention 2019 (C&P 2019) event, which aims to showcase the latest technologies and techniques being used to mitigate corrosion.
It is estimated that governments and industries spend billions of dollars every year on corrosion mitigation and repair, which is why the event will showcase some of the latest developments in corrosion, from fundamental corrosion science to hand-on application.
Topics will include concrete corrosion and repair, steel corrosion, water infrastructure, cathodic protection or pipelines, asset management, high temperature corrosion, non-ferrous metal corrosion and microbiologically influenced corrosion.
The conference exhibition will also provide an opportunity for delegates to experience the latest corrosion mitigation products and services.
C&P 2019 will take place at Crown Promenade, Melbourne on the 24-27 November, 2019.
