A construction firm has been awarded a $13 million tender to build a specialised extension at Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia’s Perth Site.

ADCO will add a remanufacturing site to Hitachi’s existing location at Forrestdale West Business Park, allowing Hitachi to refurbish its components to near perfect condition.

The process is highly specialised, with components cleaned, inspected, rebuilt, tested and updated to the highest original equipment manufacturer standards before being reused.

This process aims to decrease equipment downtime and significantly reduce costs for the end user.

ADCO CEO Neil Harding said Hitachi, in consultation with their designer and project consultants, icecubed consulting, were looking for quality when going through submissions.

“They prioritised ADCO’s bid due to our clear appreciation and understanding of the project,” Harding said.

Construction is expected to be completed in late June 2019.
