Holcim Australia has started construction on a high-capacity concrete plant at Badgerys Creek to produce its low-carbon ECOPact range. The facility is positioned to support the rapid development of the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, including the future Bradfield City Centre.
Located just 1.5 kilometres from Western Sydney Airport and 2.5 kilometres from Bradfield, the plant places Holcim within one of Australia’s most ambitious infrastructure and urban renewal zones. Its proximity is expected to reduce concrete delivery times and minimise disruption across key construction sites.
Construction began in May 2025, with the plant scheduled to be operational by mid-2026.
Greg Price, executive general manager for ready-mix concrete and major projects at Holcim, said the company is aligning closely with the region’s momentum.
“We’ve positioned ourselves exactly where our customers need us, right in the middle of Western Sydney’s next chapter,” said Price. “It gives us the operational strength to support projects of any size, right across the Western Sydney growth corridor.”

The plant will produce Holcim’s ECOPact low-carbon concrete, supporting more sustainable construction. It has been designed with future growth in mind, allowing flexibility to meet evolving project needs.
With capacity to produce up to 1,000 cubic metres of concrete per day, the Badgerys Creek plant is expected to be one of the most productive in the area – an advantage as construction activity continues to scale up.
“Producing our ECOPact low-carbon concrete at Badgerys Creek helps accelerate more sustainable construction across the region,” said Price. “It’s a step forward in how we support major projects – not just with volume, but with materials that reduce environmental impact.”
Once complete, the plant will expand Holcim’s Greater Sydney network and strengthen its ability to supply the residential, commercial and industrial developments driving Western Sydney’s next phase of growth.
