Empowered Women in Trades (EWIT), a charitable organisation dedicated to fostering female participation in the traditionally male-dominated field of trades, has received the Telstra Best of Business Award in the Accelerating Women category in Victoria.

This recognition underscores EWIT’s unwavering commitment to breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for women and non-binary individuals in skilled trades.

Hacia Atherton, founder and CEO of EWIT, expressed her gratitude for the award. “I am overjoyed and humbled by our victory in the Telstra Awards,” she said. “This recognition is not just for EWIT but for every woman and non-binary person who has dared to challenge the status quo in the skilled trades industry.”
